Jex felt something hard hit her helmet. White spots swam across her vision and blood trickled down her face. She checked the tether was still attached that suspended her from the space station. A dark shadow fell over her, and she gripped the nearest handle to pivot to the left. There was a floating green orb, seemingly made of glass. At first it reflected her face, then it turned to black, and a mouth appeared. As the mouth grew bigger, it showed its teeth, made of bright green jets of light. The orb zoomed towards her and swallowed her whole.
